满清宣统三年，亦即西元一九一一年，武昌起义，四方云从，南粤北疆，铁血共和。 西关城为西北重镇，地当丝绸之路要冲，历来为兵家必争之地。武昌起义的消息传到西关，同盟会骨干陆渐离大喜过望。清军守备吴天泽自觉清覆亡将至，有心与同盟会合作，他说服了陆渐离的义弟龙三，龙三深知吴天泽在此地根深蒂固，就算换了天下，与他公开抗衡也会闹得两败俱伤，所以，他接受了吴天泽的利诱，答应说服陆渐离，三分天下，一同坐江山。 龙三带吴天泽来陆家谈判，遭到陆渐离严辞拒绝，吴天泽违背了对龙三的诺言，对陆渐离以死相逼。陆渐离自杀成仁，他的妻子兰疏影侥幸逃脱，在好心人伊春德家产下一女，兰疏影决意报仇，觉得女儿不能担此重任，就将亲生孩子与伊春德妻子刚生下的男婴调换，自己带这个伊家后代远走他乡，并为他取名为陆天明……。Growing up in a small town, Charlie, Alex and Nick weren't the most popular kids around after they formed "The Elite Monster Unit".
