本片是一部具學術性且形式前衛的影片，討論女性主義、母性與性別差異。影片主要分為三大部分、十三個章節，意圖建構觀者與影片中女性主體的關聯性，從女性的觀點與聲音來呈現影像中的女性。。Dao returns home and finds her fiance in bed with another woman. She shoots them dead on the spot. She is sentenced to 10 years in prison. She gets out eventually and stays with a friend who runs an escort service and learns that women are even caged in the outside world.。Juan, a prison officer, silently observes the visit every Sunday of Berta, mother of one of the imates. The day he finally approaches her, he surprises himself by pretending to be another visiting father and inventing a daughter inside the jail: Josefina. The need to fill the vacuum of their lives prompts Juan and Berta to continue meeting outside the reality around them.。
