《金大班的最后一夜》改编自作家白先勇的同名小说。叙述的是三十年代至五十年代，从上海“百乐门”到台北“夜巴黎”的一段风花雪月的故事。它讲述了一位风华绝代的舞女大班及“百乐门”四大美女的风月传奇和悲情因缘。这是一部由轻歌与曼舞、灯红与酒绿、朱颜与白发、香鬓与俪影、西装与旗袍、金钱与爱情、苍凉与华丽交织而成的醉梦人生。。美丽的数学岛上，有一个神奇的愿望之码。只要将“咔布”生产出的数字和“加减乘除”身上的符号正确填入其中，就可以实现任何愿望。博士为了实现统治世界的野心，一心想要得到五只咔布。在数学天才罗克和伙伴们的努力下，博士的阴谋最终破灭。博士跌入了愿望之门，竟然回到了过去。重回数学岛后，博士假扮成数学王子，更加疯狂地继续自己的阴谋。罗克和伙伴们齐心协力，一次次地挫败了“数学王子”的阴谋，恢复了数学岛的安宁。。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
